The company was founded by Rob Dickens at the end of 2001. Its mission is to fully exploit the monitoring-and-control software developed by the founder during his previous six-and-a-half years at the University of Leicester (Radio and Space-Plasma Physics group) and the EISCAT Scientific Association (Svalbard Radar).
